" Placed my Order on the 18 December and selected delivery for 25 December as it was available as a choice. However, on the 23 December, one of the staff contacted me stating as per below at 12.49pm

“Greetings! We are from Starlight jewellery. Regards to your order will you be home today to receive the item. There will be no delivery on your request date as is a public holiday. Thank you”

So I replied 1 min after that there will be someone at home that day, and delivery can be made. However I only gotten a reply at 2.23pm as per below

“Noted. We will update you soon. Thank you”

And while expecting an update or delivery that very same day, I received no update or no delivery. I even texted the same number requesting for an update at 3.38pm on the same day but to no avail.

It did not stop there, the next day I tried messaging the same number for an update, no reply. Live chat on web, no reply. Instagram, no reply. Facebook, no reply. Customer service email, no reply.

In 25th December 12.07pm, I tried to message again to ask if I will be receiving my product, guess what, my message couldn’t get through. I tried calling the number, it didn’t ring. So I tried using my other number , my message gotten though, call gotten through with no one answering.

As desperate as I am, I contacted Grab for help since I paid through Grabpay. Soon after I raised the issue to Grab, someone from the store, James contacted me and mentioned that he will personally deliver the item to me. Okay, I greatly appreciated that honestly. But when I probed him why my number was blocked from the original number that contacted me, he said he will investigate once he got back to store.

Truth enough, I got and update through his investigation, however it was not a satisfactory answer.

1. The staff who contacted me was on leave from Thursday to Sunday.
But it was a company phone as mentioned by him and it was left in the store, so how does it matter whether the staff who contacted me is on leave?? There’s are staff right? And not once did I tried to follow up on my order, it was multiple times

2. No number was blocked on the phone.
So magically my number is the only one who suddenly couldn’t get through, while I could get through to my other contact?? I tried using other number to message them and it could get through. Suspicious??

3. As per James words” I am as puzzled as u do. As there was nobody in the shop
Having said that If I were to look at it and try to offer any explanation

I can only think of the instance whereby another customer or a few customer could be trying to call in the same time when u r trying to call us”

It was not only call that I couldn’t get through, even messages failed to send. And I don’t think in Any cases messages can’t be sent through if there are people constantly calling the number or the battery died. It just didn’t make sense.

Unlike other store, they do not provide proper service recovery and only blame it on the phone issue and service lapse, instead of taking responsibility that it’s their fault fully.

Can you imagine if I didn’t reach out to grab, I would never had gotten my product delivered . "
