" Totally love the Waggington.. they take care of my puppy as it was theirs, they send me photos and ensure she plays with friends, exercises and is as happy as a dog can be! "

" I booked the pool service for my dog"s bday 2 weeks ahead and got a confirmation of the same. On the day, the staff tell me that the pool is shut for maintenance and they didn't have a record of my booking. Then they all gave me different messages about the actual status of the pool - will take a few days to fill, will take 2 hours, is completely empty, etc! Finally when we checked the pool actually had water in it and could be used.

Nobody there actually has a clue of what is going on since the staff keep changing every few months. The place is not regularly cleaned and smells.

I would not recommend this place at all. "

" I always feel safe leaving my dog here, whether it is for daycare or boarding services! The staff are very friendly and responsible, and always update me on how my dog is doing so I never need to worry. There are even swimming sessions for the dogs, which my dog really enjoys :-) "

" I have seen this amazing pet hotel in person and it is top notch. The pets staying there all look happy and well taken care of. The staff definitely has a passion for what they do. I love the bone shaped pool! "

" This is the worst place to leave your dog for boarding. First they require your dog to interact with other dogs. If your dog cannot interact they force you to take up the “special care” which is additional $35 a day!!! The special care is nothing special. It is still leaving the dog in the room!!!! "

" Bought our Beagle for a swim. Nice facilities and place but lack the personal touch. "

" We have used this hotel a couple of times over the last 2 years for our small/medium breed dog, Charlie. An issue arose during our last stay, and management's MISMANAGEMENT of the situation created a mountain out of a molehill. I usually would not bother to post a review on Google, but had such a shockingly bad experience that I feel morally obligated to advise the online community not to choose this hotel if they can help it, despite the glitzy facade.

First, on checking Charlie in to the hotel, I noticed a staffordshire bull terrier in the small dog playpen. According to current import laws, this is one of the prohibited/restricted breeds from entering Singapore. This flagged an alarm, so I asked one of the male staff members if that was a staffy and how it managed to get into Singapore. The male staff member replied that it was and (jokingly?) said: "when the staffordshire bull terrier bites, it goes straight for the neck". Not the best customer service move in my opinion, but I had to leave Charlie there as my flight was in 2 hours.

Second, as part of the check-in procedure, one of the female staff members then came round with paperwork. She gave me a contract to sign, saying there were a few changes to the previous contract we had signed on an earlier visit, and that we needed to re-sign this version. I asked her for clarification on what the changes were, and she was unable to pinpoint the exact provisions, but told me it was the same terms and conditions that we would have agreed to on making the online booking. (This later turned out to be incorrect. My wife had done the online booking - upon my wife exchanging a few emails with the owner, the owner advised that there was a "technical error" so the terms on payment we had viewed did not match the wording of the revised version of their contract.) Anyway, long story short, I was concerned about the assumption of risk provision (the owner of the dog assumes risk for any injury) in the context of my dog being placed in the same play pen as the staffy, when I had been given no reassurance about the character of the staffy. It didn't help that when I accessed the webcams from overseas, I saw the staffy chasing a small poodle all around the pen. I interpreted this as high energy which I didn't think would be a good environment for the other small dogs.

I told my wife my concerns and she raised them by email to the hotel. The management did confirm that they would remove the staffy from the pen, although they advised that this particular staffy was good-natured and had passed the temperament test. The owner also mentioned that the poodle being chased around was hers, and she didn't think there was any harm done. We were fine with this, but mentioned that it would have been better for this information to be relayed at the time of check-in (as we would then not be so worried)!

Unfortunately, the later exchange of emails between my wife (with me copied) and management seemed to focus more on what was and was not said at check-in between me and the two staff members. Short of calling me a liar, I got the impression that the owner took the word of her staff members over a repeat paying customer. The management also seemed to take issue with the fact that my wife was coordinating our email responses (and that I had somehow mis-communicated the scenario to my wife!) and that this meant I was not giving them the whole story.

This hotel is marketed by the owner as a premium offering, yet there is no sincerity, execution or substance. One would think that for a small business catering to a niche hospitality industry, more focus would be given to the quality of customer relations, instead of the superficial glitz and lip service that the Wagington offers - the phrase "all show and no substance" embodies the type of culture this company personifies.

We advise trying Pawcation, which genuinely cares about the dogs, offers better value and knows how to foster mutual respect between customers and staff. Charlie is happy that he will not be re-visiting the Wagington. "

" It was Oliver's & Mochi's 2nd Swim @ the Wagington Bone Pool. They had so much fun. Great place to the kids to run and swim. Looking forward to the next swim and we are planning a pool party for the Westies' group. of course, it will include Mochi, who is already a Westified Maltese. "

" After a fairly substantial miscommunication at the grooming department of The Wagington, my poor long haired persian cat was de-shedded yesterday instead of just de-matted/brushed, leaving his beautiful bushy tail a shell of its former self :( . This would have been a very different review had the staff at the Wagington not been so helpful and understanding. They listened to my concerns and immediately resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I am impressed that they went out of their way to come up with a reasonable solution, and because of this, I will return again in spite of a rocky first visit. Very professionally dealt with, thank you guys!

P.S. Cat smells amazing also, and doesn't give a damn about tail LOL. "

" Our 2 pets, one an almost 11 year old yellow labrador and a 6 year old mix, moved to Singapore with us last year. We've literally opened every kennel door we found and boarded them at one we found to be good. Due to repeated injuries, we've decided to try out the new Wagington in June of 2015.

Our pets have boarded here several times now. The staff and management equally, have been extremely accommodating of our pet's special needs and very sweet and helpful with every single one of our requests. Now, every time we travel, we are very comfortable that they are having fun and are well taken care of and we can see them on the camera day and night enjoying their time there.

Our pets are a big part of our family and we want nothing less than a comfortable, safe and fun environment for them so we can relax and enjoy our vacations and not worry about them and nothing says that better than their barks and tail wags when we pull into the Wagington with them!!

It's nice to read reviews about people's experiences to give you an idea of the quality of the facility and services but it's even better trying it out yourself! "

" The facilities are beautiful, immaculate and smell wonderful, which, given the price, is to be expected. Gary was very nice. However, they do not seem at all interested in the pets themselves (we have cats so maybe they are more into dogs). They are very focused on the money. This was the opposite experience I had with Goldie and Lab. Aaron's facilities were not as nice but he was extremely professional, cared for the animals and i had to practically beg him to get me the information to pay him AFTER my animals were returned to me. It was just too far from where we were staying temporarily so we moved them. I do not doubt that my cats are fine (especially since there is a camera you can log in and watch) but for the money, the service could be better. "
