" This store maintains a policy where only goods purchased at Louis Vuitton Changi T3 airport can be exchanged at Louis Vuitton Changi T3 airport. How is this a reasonable policy? How often do customers of Louis Vuitton Changi T3 airport re-enter the international airport within the 30 day exchange time period?
Further, I purchased based on my Sales Associate advice that I would be able to exchange my item at any boutique worldwide (including Australia, where I am based). However, I have since been informed that because I took my Sales Associate advice and did not read the fine print on the receipt, Louis Vuitton (both Australia and Singapore) is unwilling to assist with the exchange.
I am being penalized for trusting the advice of my SA. I am being penalized by the unreasonable policy that states customers need to re-enter the Singapore International airport within 30 days to complete an exchange.
This is extremely poor customer service for a big fashion house such as Louis Vuitton. My request was to merely exchange my purchased good at an Australian Louis Vuitton boutique for another of equal or higher value (and of course, pay the difference). However, this was still deemed too difficult.
I also note that other countries such as the US and UK permit the exchange of tax free items at any of their boutiques. Louis Vuitton need to consider implementing consistent policies worldwide to ensure that basic consumer rights are afforded to all their valued customers. "
