Mastering any art form is akin to performing a 'tapas', which requires a lot of self-discipline and can be a daunting task. However the achievement at the end of every milestone can be rewarding and providing a great sense of satisfaction. TAPAS Labs provides every aspiring young Indian music and dance performing artist, an opportunity to capture and showcase these milestone performances via our portal. This includes solo renditions and collaborations with other aspiring peers. Our video library is aimed to be a repository that includes music genres such as Hindustani, Carnatic, Fusion, Bhajan, Folk, Film etc. and dance genres such as Bharathanatyam, Kuchipudi, Odissi, etc. Audio and Video are recorded using the best of equipment and professionals in the industry. You can come to us with your own themes or can consult our expert panel for ideas. Our labs will be scheduled in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.

Any promising student in vocal or instrumental or dance categories can apply. There will be no selection process, however the student’s Guru’s decision will be final based on how he/she sees the student fit for the song. You can apply via email tapas@syama.org with your short artistic resume. A video project typically involves 4-8 performers, and cost would be between S$200-S$300 per performer.
