" This place is damn messed up and i wish i honestly read the reviews beforehand. Here is my honest review.
My MAIN intention is just to go and get my 2 & a half month kitten vaccinated. I’ve the price as it’s written $55 and i was just expecting to pay up to another $20 max for any other fees (consultation etc.) Upon arrival, they took me and my kitten to the room and they said her nails were very long and sharp so they went on to trim it WITHOUT even asking if i want it to be trimmed because I myself have a trimmer at home for my cat. But then i thought they were doing it out of being nice and so that my cat might not scratch in the process of being vaccinated. & they proceed to accidentally cut too much on one of my cat’s nail and he bled from that. (you can see a small red spot). Yes this could be cos of the cat’s movement but i believe you should be well trained as a vet, If i’ve trimmed it before why can’t YOU, a vet trim it better than me?
Secondly, my cat had ear infection and so they decided to clean it and i already saw my expense going up by abit. HOWEVER, the part that irritates me the most is, i did not ask to see the ticks/mites under the microscope, the vet herself proceeded to check under the microscope and she asked me if i wanted to see. I thought she was asking me out of curiosity and i agreed. and i was charged for this. not only that, she proceeded to tell me SHE wanted to show me a different kind of mite that lives on the fur. and so i just went along and said sure. and YET i was charged for this as well.
At the end, my bills went up from expecting $55 to $235.80. Up to 3 unnecessary checks were made ( Trimming, 2x microscope) and they gave me extra medication that i did not even ask for because i know i can get shampoos that helps to get ride of fleas but they decided to give me a medication for the fur that cost $50 itself. I find this so unreasonable because there was no communication made to me. I was only told that i would be getting ONE medication for the ear which cost $19 and yet i was given 2 extra medications which cost $27.80 & $50. They are not transparent with their procedures at all.
i would HIGHLY NOT recommend this place to pet owners. It’s honestly daylight robbery "

Then, during the consultation, the Vet carried out so many unnecessary procedures, “acting in good faith” but to realised that everything was charged. Final bill became $235. Nothing was transparent. Would not recommend. Please find another Vet that is more transparent. "

" My cat suffered from ingrown claws badly that i decided to pick Point Veterinary Surgery since it was closest to my home. Made an appointment through the phone 2 days ago, and the staff was patient with me answering all my enquiries.
From registering at the counter to collecting back my cat, the process was smooth, and i must say the staff were all friendly and thoroughly update me on the situation. They explain on how to aftercare the wound and make me feel calm since I was worrying a lot about my cat.
The wound might take a while to heal and because i trust in you guys, what's important is my cat is out of danger.
Dr. Shubhra was really patient and attentively cared to my cat. Normall, my cat would be aggressive especially when she is in pain around strangers.
Thanks Point Veterinary Surgery (541 Jurong West Ave 1), your team makes it a pleasant experience for both me and my cat. Thank you for taking such good care to my cat. "

" Agreeing on overselling their product!!! Vet did not even mention that my dog need the eyedrop for cataract. But over counter just bill it in and didn’t give us the eye drop till we check e bill. Male vet in home clothes not professional at all.. Worse still he did not even show any care or concern to my pet he only instruct his assistant to carry my dog for check. Serious Not recommended at all don't bother wasting time or $$$$ 👎🏿👎🏽👎🏾. Now I visit Joyous Vet 1000 time better!! "

" be careful, I wouldn't recommend this vet. Didn't explain what vaccine you're paying for and slam 2 additional vaccines. After just jabbing in the vaccines, they just Make u pay for it. Tried to over sell many other things too. I personally feel that it is cheating customers. Wouldn't recommend their services. Be alert. "

" I would like to recommend Point Vet whereby staff are friendly and caring for the pets. Dino was taken care by Dr Teo and senior staff K.Yan since many years due to skin problem. Dino was diagnosed with malignant skin cancer and was pass on 13th July 2015. Dr Teo and K. Yan took great care of Dino and provided all the possibilities to reduce his sufferings. Hereby would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the service rendered and most importantly personal touch we had from you. "

" The only vet clinic in the west. Not a fan of their services. They forgot (or missed out or miscommunicated etc) to give my poor dog her annual vaccination (2014, 2015) 2 years in a row.
As a new dog owner (in 2014) I relied on their professional know how to guide my through the medical processes my adopted dog would require.
In 2014, despite me being a rockie in dog ownership, my dog's shelter personal educated me on the importance of annual vaccination for my dog. Hence, the reason to arrange for the vet visit. Told the counter staff that my dog would need to be sterilized and given her annual vaccine, and pro heart jab. Trusted the staff to execute the procedures.
Fast forward to 24th Dec 2016 (last week), on my dog's 3rd visit (annually) to the clinic, to our absolute horror, we found out that the clinic has no record of my dog's annual vaccination - and they concluded that no vaccination was given to my poor dog for the past 2 years.
No dog owner should go through what we went through. Thankfully my dog has not met with any mishap as a result of their negligence.
The clinic was not apologetic towards their negligence. They swiped the matter under the rug. Charged us for 2016 annual vaccine. Arranged for Jan 2017 booster shot for the vaccine. No words of sorry. No compensation for the negligence.
On an objective note, the staff are very friendly.
Do remember to check and double check the procedures you have requested for. Check the invoice and clarify what you have paid for.
Don't be like us.
Now I blame myself for not checking throughly that she received all the medical procedures she should have recieved and putting my dog in a dangerous situation where she is unprotected. "
