" Most of all what I want is someone who doesn't think as much as I do. Just a pretty boy. Being with someone like me would be a nightmare. I'm going back to Budapest tomorrow to take these classes. Probably stay at Wombats again. I'd like to go by train but I don't know if that's possible the whole way.
And it may be silly -- certainly you don't take any pains over this -- but I feel like I may be offending them, giving a false impression of deprecation or unfriendliness.
There's an Ursula K Le Guin story. A representative of a confederacy of worlds travels to a non-member world for the purpose of recruiting them. They are hominids, but they've developed autochthonously, so everything is different: climate, culture, mores. The guy has to make his way. Travel is a little like that but more to the point, this trying to figure out what you're doing is like that. Doesn't matter.
The guy at the pool was cute for sure. I'm not always spontaneous. I wanted to swim I couldn't get in a good swim. And then you're not always sure. No that's not it; it's a conscious decision not to avail yourself of the opportunity. It's a submission to the vagaries of the encounter and the chase. Maybe it's a fear of rejection. I don't even know. Do you know who's sent out? Probably not. It's a random call. I wonder if you get feedback. Mostly I wonder what motivates them.
That works. For sure. But awkward tho, cruising in a foreign country.
The imperial system is whacked: weights and volumes are confounded. Say you have a bottle that contains 6 ounces. Well that's a weight isn't it? And if you specifically further by saying 6 fluid ounces, then it's no longer a weight, because obviously 6 ounces of lead weigh more than 6 ounces of feather, or molten lead and liquefied feather. Either that or Archimedes never lived. America has been threatening it's school kids with imminent conversion to the metric system since I was a kid. But that isn't happening, so there's no relief from that quarter. Or that tenth.

" Clean and nice hostel. Friendly staff and comfortable beds, which is all too rare for hostels. No bag storage is the only down side. "

" The hostel is inside the university campus, which probably makes it nice except in august, when the neighbourhood is quite dead (it's still very close to the city center, so it's not a big problem). The kitchen and the common room are on different floors; common room has nice couches and a pool table, the kitchen is well equipped but there's no microwave. The rooms are big and the bed comfy. "

" We stayed here with a group of 50 people. The rooms were very clean and even had the bed linen already done, not very usual in hostels. The personal was very friendly, they even managed to check all of our 50 ID-cards within a few hours, because we need it back quickly.
They have a nice but rather small kitchen for self cooking, but there were not enough cutlery for us (e.g. there were only 2 spoons).
The bathrooms were also exceptional clean and well equipped, but unfortunately there were only 1-2 showers per gender and floor, which caused long queues for us.
One thing we want to mention too was the breakfast: the hostel offers one on working days, but only at 6-8am, what was a bit hard for us, after a party night. The hostel provides coupons for the breakfast, but they forgot to tell it to us!!!
The breakfast itself happens on another building, apparently in the cafeteria of a school, and was pretty standard, only some bread, honey, jam and some vegetables. We would recommend to other visitors to buy their own breakfast and use the kitchen for it. "

" For approximately 13 EUR per night you can have a well rest in soft beds (mostly two story) in a well spacious room. The utilities are shared between the floor - kitchen, and bathrooms. The bathrooms (showers, sinks and toilets) are for both genders in one room yet separated by a wall. Everything is very modern and recently renovated with only a hint of the previous materials and architecture. Mostly used by young people (students) as the top floors are dormitory rooms. The walls may seem thin for the ligjt sleepers. "

" I had a student's room in this hostel for six years. It is nice and cheap, but the rooms are very basic and nobody enforces the no-noise-after-10-pm rule. Also the handyman takes ages to fix problems. "

" Very clean, organised, calm, and well-priced! Location isn't bad, Ljubljana centre is tiny so everything is walking distance. Does a good buffet breakfast for €3 although in a different building. "
