Slovak Environmental Agency is a professional organisation of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic (MoE SR) with nationwide scope of powers, which focuse on the environment protection and landscape planning in accordance with principles of sustainable development.SEA was established by the Decision of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic of 17 May 1993 as an agency of the Ministry of the Environment of the SR fully funded from the state budget. Since 1 January 2001 it has been operating as a subsidized organisation receiving contributions from MoE SR. In 2005 SEA was awarded the Quality Management System Certificate and the Environmental Management System Certificate in accordance with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.
