Fourah Bay is a Town on the East End of Freetown, Sierra Leone. Fourah Bay is known for its rich Islamic culture and deeply religious people. Fourah Bay are largely muslims People. It is home to Sierra Leone's biggest and West Africa's oldest university, the Fourah Bay College, Founded in 1827 to which it gives its name. It is also the dynamic and unique home of the Oku people or Aku Muhammadan People, better known as the Sierra Leonean Muslim krio, Marabu People or Krio Muslim people|Creoles people]]. Some notable Krio muslim family in Fourah Bay include the most popular Alghali family, Alharazim, the Deen Family, the mahdi family, the cole family, the Rahman family,the Bakarr family, the Savage family, the Ibrahim Family and many other families.
