As a group of young designers, researchers, thinkers and agents of change, we believe that design is one of the main catalysts for transformational change in Sierra Leone. We aim to enrich and improve the daily lives of Sierra Leoneans. We design buildings, spaces and products, that meet the diverse needs of the communities, they serve, at the same time creating opportunity for cultural dialogue. Our inspiration draws from re-designing Sierra Leone's true architectural "identity" and "place", using modern design approach and techniques. In short, WE REDESIGN TRUE SIERRA LEONEAN COMMUNITIES AND CREATE CULTURE.


Nydae Designs is a multi-disciplinary design studio. Our design projects range in scale: architecture, interior, product, and UX. Our design studio uses creative and human centred design approach, modern techniques to design and develop our solutions, whilst preserving the local culture. This provides greater value for our clients. Our role is to develop solutions to solve, shape and redefine the relations between user experienc and aesthetic perspective of objects.

Nydae Designs was established in Freetown, Sierra Leone by Mohamed S Harding, and Abdulai Bah. As a maker and designer, Mohamed has directed intensive research within the field of 3D modelling, fabrication and architectural design. As a graduate from the Fourah Bay College, Abdulai is a seasoned civil engineer, with primary research, focused on designing architectural structures. Prior to establishing Nydae Designs, Mohamed served in the capacity of a Chief Product Designer for BEAM, an enterprise he co-founded and incubated as a student, within the walls of the African Leadership Academy.
