Description
The Sierra Leone Amputee Sports Club (recently renamed as the Sierra Leone Amputee Sports Association [SLASA]) was established in 2001 to bring together talented single legged amputees with the belief that sporting activities can play a vital role in the recovery of this marginalized group. In additional to football skills the SLASA has run broader activities including computer literacy, skills training and social empowerment among Amputees, who for the most part continue to feel neglected by their societies.
