" We stayed for one week at the Country Lodge and were very impressed with the hospitality and kindness of all the staff. We were graciously upgraded to a bigger room because of the length of our stay. The newly renovated pool is absolutely wonderful and perfectly complements the tennis courts and exercise room which is very well equipped. The constant gentle and relatively cool breeze on this "hill" made staying at the resort very pleasant and a great respite from the March heat in central and coastal Freetown. The breakfast buffet is quite varied and the a la carte menu quite expansive and the value of food for money is relatively good. To catch a taxi, you either walk to the bottom of the hill or ask the hotel to arrange one - a small inconvenience for all the positive aspects of the hotel. I would definitely highly recommend this hotel to both business and tourist visitors - it is much better in most respects including overall value for money than the coastal hotels in Freetown. "
