" Europa guesthouse is the best deal around, and it has a welcoming comfortable atmosphere. It's run by an Italian/Spanish couple who are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the rooms do not have air conditioning, and it was extremely hot in San Miguel when we were there in February (over 100F, 37C). And because there was no AC, the windows were open and without screens so I got bit up by mosquitoes all night. Also the water was cut for the entire afternoon and evening though we were kindly provided with a bucket for flushing toilets. The internet works best downstairs in the main area, and there is parking in their courtyard that is safe. Breakfast is included and is huge and amazing! Other restaurants are walking distance away. It's a little hard to find the place because there's only a small sign by the doorbell, but I think they're trying to be discreet. It's a great place but would be better once the water issue is fixed and if they installed air conditioning. "
