" Oh how I miss this place!!! I have been to this resort twice and it never disappoints. The size of the resort is perfect, not too big not too small.
The staff is incredible. Always smiling and they know how to have fun! The service is very good, don’t be afraid to tip, these people work hard!
The food is soooo good. There’s not that many restaurants but you don’t need that many when the ones you have are AMAZING!! The snack bar is okay, they make good pizza from scratch but the rest of the menu needs to be refreshed.
The resort is for adults only (alleluhia) lol which makes it so enjoyable! They have a lot of entertainment especially around lunch time. There’s 2 pools and 1 jacuzzi, so it’s plenty for the size of the resort.
This resort is located on the best beach of the island!! Great bay is simply beautiful and on the other side of the bay you can see all the cruise ships come in and go. It is only minutes away from town.
I rented a car both times I went there as the island is pretty small and safe so it’s easy to get around.
On a final note, as a big traveller, I have to say that Sonesta Great Bay is amazing and I’m wishing them good luck in the reconstruction of the hotel.

" Loved this place and cannot wait to return again someday.
I was devastated to hear how badly the resort was struck by the hurricane, but I believe that they will be able to rebuild and recover with the hopes of functioning again soon.
My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon in March of 2017 and we couldn't have been happier. The beach was lovely, weather was perfect and the food was fantastic. Somehow, they had the best feta cheese I've EVER tasted. The food wasn't just good for 'resort food'- it was top notch- period. The Lava Rock restaurant was, by far, the highlight. The Mahi Mahi -- I'm STILL thinking about it. And the staff were so lovely. The staff at the buffet were great, too. We did try one of the other a la carte restaurants, but the food wasn't that great and the staff were even more terrible. Overall, it didn't leave a sour taste in our mouths. We really did love it there and would be happy to return again someday.
Maybe for another anniversary!

" Had a lovely clean room with an excellent bay view. Helpful staff. Enjoyed the spa. Tasty cuisine but limited variety. And lastly, an ocean I could not get out of! No walk in shock, like bathwater clean n clear to your toes. Wow!! "

" Overall had a great experience and would return. Only minor issue were the wifi which only worked in the bathroom in our room and the registration for the dine in (non buffet) restaurants at either or the resorts. We stayed five days but all the reservations were all ready full and we couldn't get a table. Make sure you make your reservations for dinner as soon as you check in. Staff is very friendly and always helpful. "

" Resort sits on the best beach in my opinion. The staff was friendly and accommodating. A few renovations are required for the main rooms. I would come back if they did some upgrades. "

" Loved the resort. People are friendly, beach was beautiful and only a 10 min walk from the capital city. Food was good.
Careful, the water drops off fast and gets deep quickly. They also provide beach umbrella's at this resort! Room was clean. Some aspects of the resort could use a refresh. "
