The annual Turks & Caicos "Race for the Conch" Eco-seaswim takes place 1st Saturday of every July. 2.4 miles, 1 mile, and 1/2 mile races through clear, turquoise waters of Grace Bay, Providenciales. New and experienced open water swimmers welcome.

Called "One of the World's most gorgeous swims" by Open Water Swimming, the "Race for the Conch" Eco-SeaSwim aims to provide open water swim novices and top competitors an extraordinary race experience. It's hard to beat our Grace Bay venue with its clear, warm, turquoise waters, as well as friendly, welcoming beach atmosphere. The course runs along the shore that gives spectators a great view. For swimmers, we make it easy to navigate with big 5 ft high, easy-to-see orange and yellow marker buoys. Lots of emphasis on safety with medical personnel on the scene and plenty of support staff on water and beach keeping an eye out for everyone. Unique conch trophies offered to top finishers in each race category. Local charities benefit from the race proceeds and sponsors, including Provo Children's Home, the Reef Fund, and the Turks & Caicos Islands Swim Federation. Delighted to announce that one of the top US Masters swimmers and star open water swimmer, Eney Jones, will be participating in the "Race for the Conch" Eco-SeaSwim AND teaching open water swimming while in the Turks & Caicos. Masters Class limited to just 7 on Friday morning July 6 at 9 am in front of Rickie's Flamingo Cafe (same location as race). $80 pp. Please email us at raceinfo@ecoseaswim.com to reserve a spot. Eney will also be giving open water swim and racing tips for all registered swim racers also on Friday July 6 at 5:30 pm in front of Rickie's. No need to register for that one.

Quick update on Turks & Caicos. Natural disasters are not fair, as some people escape unscathed and others experience devastation. Such was the case here. We are diligently tending to all who suffered and actively cleaning up. We hope you do not cancel any plans to vacation here or swim in the Race for the Conch next year on July 7. The islands will be back to its normal, stunning beauty very soon! If you have any questions, please feel free to forward them.

Just days to go! Saturday July 1 coming up fast. Please register if you have not already. www.ecoseaswim.com, or, if on island, at Marco Travel Caicos Cafe Plaza, Grace Bay. NOTE: Free Open Water Swim Clinic for registered swimmers at 5 pm on Friday June 30. Meet on beach in front of Rickie's Flamingo Cafe (race venue). In the meantime, hydrate well, check goggles, review race map for your event, visualize, give yourself lots of time to get to venue and check-in, warm up, and relax.
