C.A.S.H was founded by a group of individuals who are passionate about the direction the lives of our youths are headed and to give the youths of Trinidad and Tobago a chance at a better future. There are so many children with different emotional and psychological problems. It affects them both academically and socially. These problems are channeled via bullying, joining gangs, promiscuous behavior; they suffer from low self esteem use recreational drugs; alcohol. But what if there was a way to assist them in channeling these negative energies on a positive platform.We observed that violent acts began to ruin the school atmosphere by disturbing the school activities and the studies that are supposed to take place. The amount of tension that violence in school creates is enough to distract students from concentrating on their studies. Violence is not ideal in school and the children who involve themselves with it cannot do well in school and end up ruining their future. We need to effectively work together with communities to establish multi-disciplinary teams, have a multi-sectoral approach, and work towards the elimination of violence, poverty and illiteracy in our youth today. Abusive homes and dysfunctional homes are some of the key factors contributing to these outbursts of anger against peers. We aim to not only reduce violence in children by introducing them to the projects that we have formulated but one day eradicate it all together one child at a time.
