Rondell Hamilton is the Founder and Managing Director of Rennie's Orphanage and Animal Rescue -ROAR, an animal rehabilitation center. Dedicated to species conservation, Rennie's Orphanage cares for injured and orphaned wildlife and educates the public about the importance of biodiversity in Trinidad and Tobago. Rondell is a volunteer at the Wildlife Orphanage and Rehabilitation Centre and at Trinibats, a non-profit bat conservation team. He has a B...achelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Zoology from Andrews University.

Afiya Kelenne Dick is the Founder and Director of Operations for Evergreen Ridge Winery, a company that produces wines made from locally-grown tropical fruits in Trinidad and Tobago. Afiya also works for a local energy company as the Coordinator of Environment and Safety. She has a Master’s degree in Environment Science and Management from the University of Trinidad and Tobago; a Bachelor’s degree in Water Resources Management from the College of Science, Technology, and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago; and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Natural Resource Management from the University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago.

Successful end to #SPS18

Southern Partnership Station 18 (SPS18) subject matter expert exchanges (SMEE) with the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard ended successfully on Aug 22, following two weeks of diving and medical care exercises designed to enhance coordination in regional maritime activities and improve the operational readiness and interoperability of participants.

On Wednesday, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Trinid...ad & Tobago Prison Service and the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service joined the EMT’s from the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force and U.S. Navy Sailors from SPS18 Fleet Health Engagement Team (FHET), to respond to a critical incident (Category 4 Hurricane) involving multiple casualties at Chacachacare Island.
