" I got married at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf resort which shares the same land as the Tobago Plantations- The majority of our guest stayed at the Hotel but some of our family decided to stay at the Villa's- BAD IDEA. After an amazing night at our wedding on 2/8/18 our family went back to villa Serenity to a not so serene atmosphere - They were welcomed by the alarm which prompted the villa Secuirty to show up, after entering the home they realized something wasn't right and they had been robbed. The villa was broken into and lots of items were stolen including watches, jewelry, electronics and cash. After the police showed up they told my family another villa on the same street was also broken into that night- You never go on vacation expecting to be violated - The house keeper was the last person left in the home and ensured my family she would lock up- This really left a bad taste in my mouth and I hope the management team and owners take better precautions in the future to protect visitors & their belongings- Prior to this night, this was not the first time this has happened.-Thief's prey on tourist that stay here- SO BEWARE!! "

" If you are planning to book a Villa through island investments and you value your safety as well as your belongings....DON’T. My family and I secured the Serenity Villa for dates 2/6-2/10 for my cousins destination wedding being held at the Magdalena.All was well upon arrival. The day of the wedding ( 2/8) housekeeping arrived to clean our villa. As we were scheduled to be at the ceremony at 4pm we left the villa with housekeeping still on the property as she hadn’t finished cleaning. She assured us she had a copy of the keys and she would lock up and enable the alarm. Upon our arrival back to our Villa at midnight af the ceremony, the alarm went off as we were entering the premises. Security arrived and informed us that this was the second time this evening that the alarm had sounded. Upon entering the home immediately we realized something was off. All of our belongs were thrown all over the place, and we had been robbed. The window of the bathroom in the back bedroom had been pried open and the bedroom door was wide open. All of our belongings had been taken. Gold jewelery, bottles of liquor, cash, and electronics. Security contacted police and we filed a police report that evening. Immediately I emailed management and informed them of what had happened. The next morning management arrived and informed us that the Villa next to us was also burglarized and they were sorry. I stated that we were promised security and safety which neither was delivered! I asked them how they planned to compensate us for this violation and their response was one night stay and a free ride back to the airport!!! Seriously? We were insulted! We were robbed of our belongings, violated and one night stay was supposed to be sufficient? I have never experienced such an incident, and not only is it scary but a our violation. What if one of my family members or myself for that matter had returned early to the Villa or better yet had been inside while the burglary was in progress? As I stated above, if you value your safety please steer clear. Yes the place is gorgeous I won’t take that from them, but a nice view and clean pool is not worth your safety, security and possibly your life! "
