" A wonderful place to spend the day wandering through the wildlife and though there are many stone paths, there are also many more difficult hiking paths and if you keep your eyes open it is very easy to go off the beaten path.
Be wary of this though as you can quite easily start a 2hr hike without even realising it.
The sign-posting is atrocious so use google maps where possible to orientate yourself and take the time to visit one of the high points as the views are exceptional.
The typical tourist areas are also fantastic but if you enjoy the quietness of the forest you will need to take the more difficult paths up into the mountains, especially if you want to get away from the annoying saxophone player mentioned in other reviews.
I would aim to get there early in the morning as he seems to start just after lunch and play for several hours into the afternoon.
Really lovely place with lots to visit and many places to stop and eat. "

" Decent high mountain forest park. Almost exclusively only Taiwanese tourist. Need to be aware of bus ticket reservation for the bus ride back to 台中。should definitely get tickets earlier. "
