" Highly recommended. Excellent service and hotpot. The soup base was unique and items did not need much sauce because it was so flavourful. A bit pricier than other hot pot places, but you are getting much higher quality. They refill your soup with more than just adding broth, so more duck blood and more veggies! Definitely try the duck meat. "

" Service is excellent with staff being very polite and catering to your every need. The food is also top notch and the place opens until 4am. "
" The service was superb but the food was just average. There are definitely far better hotpot places to choose from in Taipei. Not a big fan of the sour cabbage soup base either... wish we had ordered something else. "

" My favorite hotpot place in Taipei! They have 2 soup bases you can choose from ~ sauerkraut soup with pickled cabbage and a spicy mala soup with tofu and duck blood cake. Sounds exotic? It actually tastes really good. The duck blood cake tastes like a flavorful version of tofu (and i never take blood cake outside of this restaurant) and if you cook noodles on the sauerkraut soup, you'd never want to have your noodles in any other soups. You've been warned! You get unlimited refills of the soup bases and ingredients, and sometimes, I feel that ordering the soup bases is totally enough for a meal. However what is hotpot without other things? I usually order a thinly sliced shabu shabu styled meat to go with the soup as well as beancurd sheets. The seafood looks nice as well, but i typically am pretty full by the third refill of the soups. Service has always nice at Ding Wang, but on the trip, we felt that it has slightly deteriorated, but it's nonetheless still on par with Taiwanese hospitality. Reservations needed during normal meal times (and diners need to finish in 90mins), but this joint opens till 4am, and past dinner, the crowd's thinned out and you can take your time at this wonderful hotpot restaurant. " Very expensive for not so good quality meat and small servicing quantities. Plus point is the free flow soup with duck blood, tofu, and pickled cabbage. "

" One of my favorite go to spicy hot pot when I visit Taiwan. I love love love the unlimited pork blood and tofu in the soup base!!! I would totally just go there for the soup base which you can take left over home (they actually refilled the soup base full for your take home!) "

" Found the beef better than the pork. The spicy soup isn't too spicy "

" Definitely one of the best Hotpot places I've been to in Taipei. I went with my bf on a week night and it was still relatively packed, had to wait about an hour. Service was impeccable and the food was fresh and arrived in a timely manner. I would definitely visit again when I'm in town! "
