" Good hotel. Nice Café downstairs. Rooms not the biggest but very comfy: great bed and pillows, a/c adjustable to your own needs and working really good. Cool rainbow shower. Room looked a little bit old fashioned but that's just my personal impression. "

" Really like the place. Good for western travelers. I like this more that W hotel but om it's a slightly longer walk. If you have to sleep during Taiwan work hours either avoid or try to get room not facing new skyscraper construction across street for next several months. The bar here is awesome... great old fashioneds.... best I've ever had. The Brown Sugar nearby has decent live jazz once a while too. "

" Floor 3 has a nice swanky whisky bar with a great selection ranging from American to unique great tasting Tawaiin distilled Whiskeys. TaVaLan and Deaston were my favorite Tawaiin whiskeys. "

" The Home is a bit pricey, but in the end offers better value for money that other Taipei options. The rooms (this is my third stay, so I use the plural) are clean and comfortable -- though sadly the views of Taipei 101 are now blocked by a new high-rise. Staff are friendly and helpful -- and speak excellent English, in case you're wondering. The café at the ground floor offers a cozy spot to relax or work remotely, but at the same time opens to the street, so you can actually experience a bit of the city life. Whisky lovers will love Marsalis on the third floor (try the local stuff while you're there...). The location is superb, smack in the middle of a lively, slightly upscale shopping district, with plenty of dining options. Taipei 101 is literally steps away, and the Elephant Mountain hiking trail (for views of the city) is nearby. There are two metro stations on the red line close by, and the blue line is within walking distance. The City Hall bus station is about a 15-minute walk away (for airport buses). Overall, highly recommended. "
