Breakfast is like a Asian Continental buffet. It is what we expected from a luxurious hotel. There was a plethora of main dishes, desserts and drinks. It is located in large dining hall with a great view of the lake.
For dinner, we sat on the top floor. The food is not up to standards upheld in the rest of the hotel. The food tried to be fancy, but lacked the taste and refinement.
The main attraction of the hotel is the view and its history. Since it's situated on the highest hill in the area, the hotel offers an unmatched view of the lake. That explains why the founder of Taiwan loved to stay here on his vacations. There is even a statue of him in front of the entrance.
We enjoyed taking afternoon naps in the room after long hikes. If you go through the special parking garage elevator, you can go all the way up to the glass balcony. It is free for people who booked the hotel.
At night, we received a deep tissue massage at the spa, and that set us back $200. It is, in my opinion, the best hotel in the area. Compared to other hotels I stayed in around the world, I think this hotel is overpriced. I see it as one of those bucket list items. "

" A very pleasant place. We had afternoon tea on Mother's Day. The booking and seats were full, yet the hotel maintained its' graceful atmosphere and I find it very pleasant for family gathering.
The food is delicious, the deserts tasty, and the view, without doubt, is absolutely charming! I will surely re-visit it again. "

" Not worth the money. Best part of the hotel is the view in room & roof top pool view, but that's about it. None of the staffs seem well-trained, plates and mugs are always dirty in restaurant, food is okay, not enough diversity. Absolutely not worth it for how much they charge. "
