" The hotel was beautiful and a very relaxing place. The family room with Lake view that we stayed in had breathtaking views upon opening our room blinds. There was also a hot spring tub inside the bathroom which was a great addition!
Also, they had a children's play place inside the hotel on the 3rd Floor behind the gift shop. This area is free for guests and it sure kept our toddlers busy for a bit and made their stay more fun! There is also a game room with pool table on the 1st Floor. By the way, the "Water Kingdom" on the 1st Floor is just a fancy name for their pool :)
The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the food and service. We ate dinner and breakfast at their buffet and both meals was very ordinary. The food options was not a lot and seems like there was only Asian food instead of an International buffet. The employees did not tend to smile or greet guests a lot so it was a bit uncomfortable. Upon asking front desk employee questions in English, we realized not many of them spoke English at all and was not very friendly with their responses to us. "

" This is the 2nd time I've stayed at this hotel. The first time I was here for only one night. The reason for being a repeat customer means they must be doing something right. The design, service, restaurants, and location are all top notch. The Japanese inspired bath design is functional and you can't go wrong with the soaking hot spring tub. They have one of the best buffet restaurants in the world with great quality and variety. Sitting outside enjoying breakfast while taking in the view and the air was an experience not offered elsewhere. "

" We enjoyed our stay here for a relaxing get away. It was our first time and we really loved our Japan-styled room with a beautiful and relaxing view of the sun moon lake. We especially loved our experience with the Japan style hot springs, the dinner buffet, the service that the staff provided, and our boat tour of the lake. The breakfast buffet selection was not as great as the dinner but it was adequate. We had a wonderful experience and hope to come back soon for another relaxing get away. "

They provided us with pretty standard amenities: toothbrush, soap, shampoo, etc. in the bathroom; cups, water, tea, etc. in the main room. The wifi is pretty decent, and there was a nice tub in the hotel room.
AMBIANCE
The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The lobby is huge, and there are so many places to admire the amazing view of the lake. The room was Japanese-inspired; it had tatami mats, short tables, and a traditional tea set. Overall, it was a very interesting place to stay.
LOCATION
The hotel sits right next to Sun Moon Lake and it's stunning. "
