" Visiting Chubby's burger-place during what felt to met like rush-hours was very satisfying. I sat at the counter in what felt like a trendy whole-family restaurant. My order, which wasn't large, arrived very shortly compared to other burger joints I've visited before (about 12 minutes wait time). Chubby's offers a breakfast menu which slides over to lunch and gives an alternative to the general option of breakfast until 10 and lunch at 11 available around Hsinchu (and Taiwan in general). Menu has many different types of meals not limited to burgers. I'd recommend the place for tourists who want to eat outside their hotel or for a business meeting brunch if you're on the single end or as a lunch stop for families with children young or old. During the evening this can be a good spot to dine with a small group of friends.
The staff is very friendly and keeps your table clean and stocked, most can also communicate in English which is very convenient if you're not speaking Chinese.
Smokers can have a rest on two chairs outside as smoking is not allowed inside and a small park is right outside the door.
Finally: plenty of parking around, especially if you're riding a scooter. "

" This is the first gourmet burger bar I went to in Hsinchu and I am happy to see it is still going strong all these years later. Lots of burgers, and the Cobb Salad is also excellent. They didn't rush us when we ordered 30 minutes before closing the other night. The staff cleaned around us, and kept topping up our water. 5-stars. "
