Mildmay Uganda is a local ngo specialising in the provision of comprehensive HIV and AIDS prevention, care, treatment and training. We are a donor funded organisation and we are very grateful to United States Centers for Disease Controls and Prevention (CDC), the Ugandan Ministry of Health, The Diana Princess Of Wales Memorial Fund and many other (inter)national companies, ngo's and individuals that support our work.
Our vision is: Communities equipped communities to effectively respond to HIV and other priority health issues.
Our current programmes include:
• Comprehensive HIV palliative care and treatment using a holistic family-centred approach
• HIV-related training programmes with over 25,000 multi disciplinary cadres trained to date
• Support orphans and vulnerable children.
• Support the government of Uganda to provide and scale-up comprehensive HIV/AIDS care, treatment & prevention services through integration into and strengthening of the District Health System within the 16 Central districts of Uganda: Wakiso, Mpigi, Gomba, Butambala, Masaka, Kalungu, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo, Mityana, Mubende, Sembabule, Lyantonde, Luweero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, Mukono, Buvuma and Buikwe.
