St. Dominic Health Care Services(SDHCS) was founded in 2012 by group of people who were inspired by St. Dominic to help vulnerable people by providing health services for the local communities in Njeru Municipality Buikwe District located in Eastern Uganda.. SDHCS founders who comprised of a cross – section of concerned members were moved to act by the high degree of vulnerability of the local population to disease outbreaks in the face of limited access to effective health care services.The founder members have over the nine years of SDHCS existence engaged technical medical volunteers, government medical agencies, faith –based organizations, civil society organizations and international donor agencies to bring health care services nearer to the vulnerable people of Buikwe. These endeavors bore fruit in the form of a community based healthcare facility constructed in Nakibizzi Village.VISION STATEMENTOptimal health accruing to people living in the communities we serve.MISION STATEMENT Promote, protect and improve the health of vulnerable people living in affiliate communities through integrated preventive and curative health care service provision.
