SCHOOL
REASONS FOR STARTING THE SCHOOL PROJECT
The school fees from the nearby schools were too high
The government primary schools were over crowded
The quality of education was too poor
The distance moved by children is too far
Richard began Alpha and omega academy in rented rooms, however the school has it`s own reasonable land where the director has also put temporary wooden classes as you can see in the pictures.And so becauase of those reasons above the director felt compelled to start the project so that services can be extended to the poor needy persons os Kalisizo area

THE STRUCTURE OF THE SCHOOL
The school has 100 children as per now how ever, many parents have continued to apply for next year, so the number is likely to increase.
The school has 4 classes which are baby, top, p.1 andp.2. We add on one class per year till when we shall come to primary 7.
The school has only four teachers and two support staff members.
These 4 teachers are not qualified teachers but they eagerly help with a big heart.
So we hope to employee qualified teachers, that is when we get help in form of paying teachers salaries.

HOW DOES THE SCHOOL PAY TEACHERS
Richard is working in one of the near by government secondary school so he tops up on some of the money that the parents subscribe and that is how the community is incorporated in the development of the school.
However, many community members are very poor, old and unemployed, so cannot manage paying some money towards the school fees
