The Office of Research Administration (ORA) is one of the outcomes from an Institutional Research Innovations and Management (iRIM) grant to the MESAU consortium schools_funded by the US government. It was meant to build capacity and strengthen research administration in Uganda.

With an overarching desire to grow the research profile but also encourage people to do research, the Faculty of Medicine thought it wise to set up this office to provide all the necessary support to make the life of a researcher comfortable so that they can write research, present research, and publish manuscripts.

The ORA has an open door policy and welcomes all researchers with research related needs.
