" UMUNC is located on Nyamitanga Hill, near Nyamitanga Cathedral. The Campus is owned and run by the Archdiocese of Mbarara, but its courses are accredited by Uganda Martyrs University (UMUNC). UMUNC was given authority by the National Council for Higher Education on 5th March 2012 to open this Campus. The pioneer students were received on 20th August 2012. UMUNC is currently running courses in Business Administration and Management, Ethics and Development Studies and Information Technology.

Objectives

• To nurture university students with demand-oriented skills
• To promote the pursuit of relevant basic and applied research aiming at producing graduates for holistic societal transformation
• To design and run appropriate programmes geared towards sustainable management of the environment
• To nurture citizens of integrity imbued with a sense of the common good
• To promote and African cultures in university education
• To enhance the pastoral mission of the Church "
