Uganda Technical College Kichwamba (UTC Kichwamba) is a Government Tertiary Institution of higher learning offering both certificate and diploma courses.it is run by the ministry of Education & Sports headed by the department of BTVET(Business, Technical,& vocational education and Traininig. UTC Kichwamba was founded in 1947 as an Artisan Training Centre for the resettlement of World war II veteran. it was then known as Kichwamba technical school. in 1971,it was upgraded to level of technical institute.in 1983,it was elevated to its current status of technical college.UTC-Kichwamba is bound by the Universities and other Tertiary institutions Act of Parliament to the population from the rest of Uganda and in the East and Central African Region. It is about 16 kms on Fort-portal – Bundibugyo road, at the foot of Mt. Rwenzori.
