The Pleasant View Baptist Church was organized on November 7, 1948, in the city of Mobile, community of Trinity Gardens. Pleasant View Baptist Church was organized in a small house, on the corner of Katye Street and Banks Avenue. The church was started with a faithful few spirit filled laborers.

In 1965 the church was incorporated and re-incorporated with additions in 1976, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Leroy Hunter.

In January 1980, Reverend George M. Patterson, Sr. was called and installed as Pastor.

During the year of 2012, God placed on the heart of Pastor Patterson and the officers to have blue prints drawn up and went to work in re-building the Gorgeous New Pleasant View Baptist Church and marched into the “New View” on the 1st Sunday in March 2013, with God continuing to lead the way.

The Year of 2016
Today we celebrate The New Pleasant View Baptist Church “The New View” along with the election of our new pastor Rev. Richard A. Benson, Sr.
