Welcome to my page, my name is Faye Lynn Sherman. I was born in Nome, Alaska my mother Dorothy Sherman is from Brevig Mission and we also lived in Teller, Alaska. When we lived in Brevig after the school year we would relocate to Spring Camp until the ice went out. When the men would go out hunting my mother would sew sealskin slippers, christmans, and earrings. This is where my love of sewing began. The first person to bring me to 'The Black Elk Leather' was my cousin Sally Okpealuk, she walked me around and showed me what needles, thread, felt, beads and backing to buy. The first person to take me around and sell my barrettes was my good friend Christina Waska. I am extremely grateful for these three ladies.

Instructions on ordering barrettes- let me know the color(s) you would like. The size- small-1-2" $30, medium-2-4" $40-55, large-4"+ $55 depending on how large you want. Using your color scheme and size I will create a couple barrettes and let you choose which you want. It takes about 4 hours to complete a barrette, so orders take about a day.

Merchandise is mailed Monday- Friday. Any order over $50 is mailed USPS Priority, delivery cost is already factored in to the price of merchandise. I accept PayPal, money orders, and transfers within Credit Union 1. Quyanna for stopping by!
