We were excited to host keynote speaker Michael (Mike) J. Merchant to our monthly Superintendents Collaborative gathering on Friday, February 8. Michael guided the group in a deep reflective discussion about healthy personal and professional communication in conflict management.
Mr. Merchant is an expert in strategic communications and since 1993, has consulted and facilitated internationally with senior leaders of corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies on the topics of leadership development and influence, change management, conflict resolution, strategic alignment and execution, and improving personal and organizational performance. Mr. Merchant is currently the Senior Executive Consultant for The Arbinger Institute (arbinger.com).

The School of Education hosted the Better Together Throughline event this past Saturday, January 26, at APU. The theme for this event was “Amplify Student and Teacher Voice, Choice, and Agency with Digital Tools”. Participants walked away with new skills and creations that can be immediately utilized in their classrooms. A special thanks to our keynote speakers Alice Chen, Walnut Valley Unified School District, and Peter Paccone, San Marino Unified School District, who delivered powerful EdTalks and presentations. #APUSoE #iHeartAPU
