Local woodworker artisan, Cathy has had a lifelong passion for working with her hands, especially transforming wood into useful and beautiful art.

Her passion took her from a full time desk job Mon. – Fri 8-5pm to opening up a work shop at home “BrasAndSaws Woodworking Designs”.

She creates, builds and paints original art. Her favorite medium is reclaimed rustic wood. Her items range from beautiful one of a kind wall art, furniture, personalized and handpainted wine and beer caddies aka “Cathy’s Caddies”, “Your Guardian Angel” a favorite, reclaimed wood room divider, and unique center piece turkey the fold for easy storage, outdoor painted furniture and much more.

Cathy’s goal is to not only feature her art pieces in local wineries, breweries, homes and businesses but to also create a buzz for her hand painted caddies.

“While growing up, I saw the art of making things with your hands – my mom has this talent, she is a knitter and seamstress. When I was young, mom would make almost all my clothes. One year she even made a Halloween costume for my horse “Lady” and me for a local horse show we entered for Halloween. I was Raggedy Ann and “Lady” was Andy. The outfits were adorable and we won first place.

I love working with wood. Especially old reclaimed barn wood or fence boards with character. I make all my projects myself. I am self taught and love what I do. I have taken after my mother and her talent to create.

My passion is making something from nothing and I especially love when others love it too. I feel blessed to be able to have the opportunity to create the projects I create”.

Disclaimer: All the wording and art on my signs are hand painted. The wall art/signs/ boxes /reclaimed materials have carefully been sanded to eliminate any wood splinters, however these are natures finest and are not perfect. Some may have wood knots, and old nail holes, etc. please be careful handling any and all wood items due to splinters, etc.

As with anything made from reclaimed materials, each item is different. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I have enjoyed making them.
