The formation of the Fil-Am came about when members of the Filipino-American families living in the Santa Clarita socialized together for summer picnics and potluck Christmas dinners and decided to formalize it into an association to promote Philippines

Our association, the FilAm Association of SCV, Inc., was formed in 1983 with very humble beginnings of simply gathering fellow Filipinos living in the city of Santa Clarita.
We started off with simple picnics and Christmas parties. Now, after 30 plus years, our association still stand strong.
We are still holding our traditional programs and projects, and has expanded engaging in activities which further attracts the different interests of our members.
Our goal is to engage in cultural, social, civic, sports, outreach and community services.
To promote, preserve, and maintain the Filipino tradition and culture.
To provide educational funding for deserving individuals.
To sponsor and engage in various outreach, charitable and humanitarian programs for the well being of the community, among others.
Join us and help us promote our beautiful and colorful culture and heritage.
