" Unimpressed by the bagels — I found them harder than I liked and they were on the smaller side. Feel like I paid $7 for a small okay bagel. I LOVE the House of Bagels in Palo Alto though!! Highly recommend that one "

" I've been a fan since the year they opened (1962 I believe).. when I came to s.f. I would head straight there. But I went there once this year and will never go back. This can't be the same store! Customer service bad, sandwich bad.. basic product (bagel, lox) bad. I would give 0 stars if I could. A year or 2 ago I we t in and it was great as ever. Thr impression I got was that everyone working in the shop was from New York. Maybe they were all Jewish. All I know is that everybody in the shop was knowledgeable about the product and loved it.
But the last time I was served by a Latino who clearly knew nothing about the product. Even if the products had been good, he DIDN'T HAVE A CLUE how to put them together into a sandwich. I struggled a bit and gave up and walked out. "
