" From the first time we chatted over the phone to the moment my partner and I picked up the dress from her days before the wedding and all the interactions in between, Grace was always so supportive, affirming, and professional. Of all the vendors/people we worked with leading up the wedding, she was hands down the best and made me feel so seen and heard (which makes a huge difference amidst all the joys and stresses of planning a wedding!).
She designed a custom qipao/cheongsam for my wedding this past September--where we had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony (bride's home then groom's home) in the morning, followed by a big dinner at a Chinese banquet hall in the San Gabriel Valley at night.
The qipao is absolutely stunning, wine red, high-quality silk with the most beautiful hand embroidered designs of things that felt really dear to me, symbolic of my Chinese-Vietnamese cultures, and reflective of the memories I have of my mom, maternal grandma, and paternal grandma. Grace and I spent time talking about what to embroider on the dress and there was plenty of opportunity to provide feedback and try on the dress to make sure it was a perfect fit.
Wearing this dress made me feel so special the day-of (I loved it more than my wedding dress!). The dress is definitely an investment that took me some time to decide to move forward with, but it's a piece I know I'll cherish for a very long time, will wear again, and can share with my loved ones in the future. I'm so grateful for the time and labor that went into creating it, thank you!
