I love living in the High Desert. I particularly love living in Apple Valley.

I'm impressed by the people here who have made a success of living and working here. Since coming here in 1985, I've seen plenty of people move in and then out looking for better opportunity elsewhere. I've also been privileged to know some great people who created opportunity and thrived in the desert.

Those people make living here enjoyable. Those people create a great place to live.

That’s why I started HDBuzz in 2009. As Twitter and Facebook exploded in popularity, I noticed something about the people tweeting and posting from this area. They were negative. Too many complaints about nothing to do, not having some store or something.

They were missing all of the good stuff. So I gave the good stuff a voice on social media. It started on Twitter, then expanded to Facebook, blogs and all sorts of places. The media isn’t as important as the message. And the message I want to get out is “Living in the High Desert is GREAT”.
