San Francisco Functional Restoration Program was developed with the philosophy of helping the body and mind understand each other to better the person as a whole. We offer a broad range of services to help patients learn to manage their pain. Research and decades of experience have confirmed our understanding that most chronic pain has a real physical cause, and can lead to emotional consequences. It is our aim to restore patients to their optimal levels of function and vitality, including the pursuit of professional, personal, vocational, as well as leisure activities. The program is an intensive, comprehensive and dynamic course of treatment based upon individual needs. The patients interact with the providers 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. While this may seem daunting, and may feel overwhelming at first, most patients feel a great sense of relief and empowerment as the program progresses and they develop new, healthier routines.
