" I gave writing a diplomatic review of this Sears a shot, things like it's understaffed and likely under-trained, but there's really no way around it: this place is horrible.

Almost a month ago I purchased a treadmill here and free delivery was one of the perks for using a Sears card which I begrudgingly signed up for. The staff couldn't set up the free part of the delivery so after nearly an hour to ring up the sale I left with a promise it'd fixed by the end of the day and I'd receive a phone call letting me know. A day went by, then a few days without hearing anything so I followed up...only to be hung up on by the automated operator after a couple dozen rings with no option to leave a voicemail. I tried a few more times then finally called the issuers of the Sears card, but that's a review for elsewhere so I'll just leave it at: it isn't going well either. At least they are consistent with being poorly run across all channels of business.

A few days ago I thought I'd give it one last shot and was finally able to leave a voicemail for a manager, but unsurprisingly haven't heard back. "

" My experience was not good i have been in treatment for breast cancer for the last 3 weeks and treatment has made me extremely sick i had two people tell me they were managers frist at customer service than at jewerly counter i explained i hhave been sick and had no way of returning a purse i was 5 days pass return date had my receipt receipt the only thing i did was put my stuff in the purse and take out deciding it wasent my style the giirl at returns acted like sears didnt have that purse i said i can go get one for you which i did than said she said i can't take it back after i explained my situation .Sears need to have more compassion. Sears is the only store i shop at in the mall. I will not shop there anymore . 4pm 8-6-2017. North county mall Oceanside Ca "

" Still better tool selection than most big box hardware stores but fairly unorganized and under staffed. Staff friendly however.

Line in tool Dept 6 deep. Cashier's don't seem to be in a hurry. They are directed to ask too many things. Do you want Sears credit card, what is phone # for bonus points etc. all while people helplessly watch from the line.

Could be a great place with some management improvements. "

" The customer is never right and I will not be returning to Sears. Here is the email I sent to Sears corporate outlining my experience.

I’m writing to you out of total frustration of my transaction and the service I have received. On December 2nd we went into the Sears store in Carlsbad to look at mattresses. After trying several different ones, we decided to make the purchase. What we agreed on and discussed with the sales associate was a plush mattress. The mattress was delivered a week later on December 10 and were excited to sleep in our new bed. It did feel firmer than the one we tried and thought it just need to be broken in. I began calling Sears, both the store and customer service on January 2nd…what I found from the several conversations I had was;

1. 72 hours has passed and now I need to wait 30 days
a. Nothing out of this conversation or any conversation I had prior to this explained timeframes nor did anyone explain I had 72 hours for a return
2. A plush mattress was not ordered and sent. What was ordered and sent was a firm.
a. Nothing on any receipt or paperwork I had outlined the “firmness” of the mattress” (see below)

On January 2nd I also requested a call back from the store manager. He reached out once and I was not able to talk at the time, I asked him to call me back later that afternoon on the 4th and he has yet to call me back.

My frustration has grown and I spent over 2 hours on the line with customer service on January 7th. I asked to be escalated and was told there were no managers on site then was hung up on. I called back and that was when the return policy was fully explained. At this point the only resolution that was offered was to go through the return procedure, which would require me to pay a 15% restocking fee and a delivery (pick up) fee with the price of the mattress I wanted and originally paid for not being guaranteed to be the same. I do not feel I should punished and have to pay additional fees to have an error I did not make correct. Due to the lack of service and support I am choosing to go to through the return procedure and pay the fees and will never deal with Sears again and will tell my friends and family the same. Apparently the customer is not always right at Sears….my review of Sears reflect that as well. Unless something can be offered to refund the restocking and delivery fee, I will send my compliant to the better business bureau. "

" Oil change no attention to details oil everywhere on top of motor greasy hands on everything no wipe up of oil spots had to wipe down everything myself then i hd to remind them to reset oil gauge "
