The original workshop began in 1986 with only few craftsmen located in Padua, Italy. In 1987, the founder, Ugo Chu visited a small fine shoes workshop—Vasare, and was fascinated by Italian Goodyear welted shoes there, then he partnered with Andrea Aconi, an Italian shoes manufacturer to started developing classic Goodyear handmade shoes. In 1995, Ugo Chu took head of the company and made some unique changes in shoe craftsmanship. In order to memory of unusual experience in Italy, Ugo Chu named his own brand as Ugo Vasare.
