Founded in 1905, Fr. G. Raber built the first church in Calhan, St. Michael's. Gradually four other churches were consolidated into this one and a new church was built in 1967.
Although the parish currently has no resident pastor and covers a large area, the parishioners consider themselves to be one great extended family and rely heavily on each other.
There is an active men's and women's clubs. The Parish offers an annual College Scholarship. Highlights of the year include, the Annual Bazaar, the Annual Community Yard & Craft Sale and the Seder meal. As well as numerous Breakfasts and Barbeques through out the year.
We have also taken part in Christmas Caroling and Calhan's Take back the night community walk.
