" Just left the inn this morning. Very relaxing atmosphere, the beach at its best. Sons wedding yesterday, and couldn't have asked for kinder people on staff. They were very helpful and attentive to our needs. The tea room was perfect for the reception. The gardens full of blooms, bird houses and butterflies. Rooms were very clean. We will stay here again #bestkeptsecret "

" Very dissatisfied with our group's disappointing experience at the Driftwood Inn. We were looking forward to a relaxing weekend at the beach in a nice place to stay but were shocked to find extensive bug problems and cleanliness issues, which were brought to management's attention. The kitchen counter was covered in ants upon our arrival and my father was bitten by something while asleep that night which caused his hand and arm to severely swell up. The issue was brought up to management who promptly and insensitively and sarcastically dismissed our concerns by saying this was normal for Florida and had someone use a bottle of over-the-counter bug spray to address the ant problem. We asked to check out early but management cited a 24 hour notice policy and said they were unwilling to discuss the matter further. Also of note, the bottom floor was very sandy upon our arrival, and the upstairs bathroom's doorknob did not latch or lock. We were most perturbed by the way our issues were received and handled by management who displayed no commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope management will use this review as a tool to improve this local business, but we will be seeking another place to stay during our next visit. "

" Stayed in 2015, two years ago. Longing to go back. Staff was very helpful. Quiet and relaxed, the multitude of birds on the property insure that mosquitoes are not a problem. Beautiful gadrens. From beginning to end, a place where time stops. "

" This is a great place for staying in Mexico beach. They have outside firepits, outside seating, and a pier walk straight to the beach. They allow pets here, which is a major plus! You will be greeted by friendly staff, and a beautiful parrot (his name is Joe) and a gorgeous great Dane (his name is woody). This is in the middle of town, so within walking distance of eateries and gift shops. "

" My husband along with myself and our 21 month old decided that we were just going to up and leave for Mexico beach last month. We had no idea where we were going to stay and we found the driftwood online, so I called and luckily they had a room coming open the morning we would be arriving. I explained to the owner that what we were doing and she said she should have that room probably cleaned by possibly noon. We got there @10 & they gave us the key to our room. Everyone there was really nice. The room was very nice and so convenient. I loved how we could go out either front door or back door which led to the beach. Only thing I would say could use improvement is a bigger shower :-) They had a place to wash off at after returning from beach, a little play set for kids, a nice swinging area and fire pit for the adults when the sun went down. All around great place! "
