" First let me say it was my fault for ending up in the wrong location. The agent proceeded to try to charge me over 100 a day for a economy car! I said no to all insurance to try to get the price down and was told basically I was being a idiot. I wanted to walk away but had to be somewhere in an hour knowing this he said you have no choice look at those lines (at other rental co). He was right. I paid over $250. And my original res was $63. He was just doing his job and I’m sure he was applauded for it but I felt I was fleeced and will never use Hertz again. Hopefully no one else I know will either "

" So just wanted to give Hertz Rent a Car a shout out. So on our last day of our Disney visit we have our car died on us due to our keyless key fob dying. We called customer care who said they would send a tow truck to bring us back in to select a new vehicle, needless to say the tow truck was delayed and we waited all day and then got stuck in traffic. We basically lost a 160.00 park hopper pass and when I spoke to the manager to explain this I was offered a gift certificate for our next rental with Hertz,.........???????? Is it just me our is that an insult? 1st time last time Hertz you robbed us of a vacation day on our honeymoon to the tune of 160.00

" Terrible customer service with vehicles in need of repair! My flight arrived in Orlando at 6:30pm on the Friday of Labor day weekend and I was staying through Tuesday. The selection of vehicles was rather slim, which I understand given the time of year. I ended up choosing a Chevy Sonic. All was fine until I started driving the vehicle. The car had a bad wheel barring on the front, driver's side. The wheel barring made quite a bit of noise while driving and when you reached 55 mph the car started vibrating and shaking. I tried calling Hertz that night to see if I could get a replacement; however given the holiday weekend and how late my flight arrived, they were closed (I also tried the next morning with no luck). The vehicle also did not have any windshield washer fluid, not a drop. It was dirty as there were purple colored palm prints around the vehicle (see picture) and there was a spill mark on the dash/center counsel. The back hatch area was also full of sand. The heated seats did not work either (my aunt has a bad back and likes to use the heated seats). When I returned the vehicle, I voiced my issues and concerns to the rep. I was first asked, why did I not bring the vehicle back. I stated how I tired calling etc and the rep said well you should have just brought it back here. I was a little brought back by the tone of the reps voice with this statement; furthermore I explained how I drove all the way to Crystal River (almost 2 hours ONE WAY from the airport) after I picked up the vehicle. The rep stated well you should have just brought the vehicle back. I was told I could get a $25 voucher for the trouble. After stating I would not be renting from Hertz again and I did not need the voucher, I was told I "could give the voucher to a friend"! I stated I would not give the voucher to a friend as I would not want to put them in a situation like this. Then the rep said well "you have a year to use the voucher" and "this is all the computer will let me do". I could not sit and argue further with the rep as I had a plane to catch. Please do NOT rent a vehicle from here. If you are looking for a SAFE, clean, and comfortable vehicle STAY AWAY from this location!! "

" The rental process was easy and great. They were polite and quick. They didn't have a lot of choices due to us arriving at a very strange time of day so we only had two vehicles to pick from. The actual vehicle we got had small cosmetic damages and had tire pressure issues so we had to stop and put air in the tires at some point. Also it didn't provide an alert that the lights were switched on so the battery died and we needed a jump. "

" I got off the plane, went to Hertz rental desk and had my reserved car in about 10 minutes. It was a nice clean compact since I was traveling alone and was perfect. Had it for a week, returned on time driving straight into the return bays at Orlando airport. I was greeted immediately and handed the key to the polite attendant who scanned the ID pin and handed me my receipt! I tried all the others but none was as good as Hertz to me! I highly recommend Hertz for all your car rental needs, and I will be using them again! "

" This is a mixed review for me on this one. When I got in line, there were about 30 people in front me, I waited for about 45 minutes. When I got to the counter, they wouldn't accept my debit/visa card unless I had my plane info which I left with my friends who were watching my bags, so I provided a credit card and they were able to accept that. There were 4 or 5 reps working and I had a really difficult time understanding my rep. I asked about a free upgrade to a larger vehicle and he gave me an upgrade but my cost went up compared to what I was originally quoted! We got in the car and once I got onto 95 the handling was horrible, I couldn't keep the wheel straight, it kept wanting to go to the right. Then the next day the left two tires were low on their psi. When we returned the car, the staff was great in the parking garage, I informed them about the handling and the tire pressure and they apologized. They printed my receipt out right there so I could go right to my terminal. Reading other reviews, it seems like the biggest hurdle with this Hertz location is the pickup process as there are a lot of negative reviews about the initial contact with a Hertz employee. I'm just disappointed that I wasn't told about the added cost. "
