" The hospital is rundown and dirty. My husband had to wait in the ER waiting room with patients waiting to be taken in to be seen, while I had surgery. They apparently have no waiting room for people whose loved ones are undergoing surgery. The care sub-optimal. I will drive to Atlanta to a better hospital if ever in need of serious medical care. "

" I went in to this hospital emergency room at 12:30 am with shooting pains in my back. I won't sugar coat it, I was screaming in pain. I was also from out of town. I drove myself there and explained the pain to the young man behind the desk. He took my info and insurance card. 10 minutes later this other young man who was admitting called me in. I'm still screaming with pain on a level 10+ and attempting to describe the pain. He promptly told me i had to sit in a wheelchair and im telling him i can't sit at all. He tells me if I don't sit, i wont be treated. I try to sit thinking he is going to wheel me back to get help. He pushes me into another waiting room to sit "so i won't disturb the other patients with my screaming". As he pushes me, I get another sharp pain and I fall out of the wheelchair and crack my knee. He then tells me to get up off the floor and stop screaming. "You just stop acting like that", he said. He proceeded to tell me that if I was going to stay, my wait would be 2 HOURS!. I decided to get out of there and take my chances at another hospital. I found Doctors Hospital 6 miles away and they got me right in. Turns out I was passing a kidney stone. No wonder!
Do not enter into this hospital. Terrible, terrible empathy and triage. "

" I quickly received medical attention from the ER. My wait was no longer then 20-30 minutes. ER staff were great & very friendly.
I also had surgery here 2 years ago & was quickly put on the surgery schedule. I was a first case. It was early but went down on time & was back home before I knew it. The staff on 8 West was so friendly& put my fears at ease!! Couldn't recommend a better place to have surgery!!! "

" Went to ER with stepmom. OMG...12:30 pm- 9:45 pm...what a nightmare. The first people you encounter are rude and VERY unprofessional. I know they deal with a lot of unique situations, however that is NO excuse for the lack of professionalism. Once you get in a room, five hours and forty five minutes later, you are discharged, with service that should have been taken care of in no more than 2 (TWO) hours. The hospital should consider this DISGRACEFUL. On the flip side, the care from the nurses and doctors was very professional. They treated patient with care and concern. Ii would just be better to consider not only the illness, but the age of the patient. Most older patients, aren't able to sit like this for hours and hours, and hours, and hours. "

" My grandmother entered the facility very near death, was given excellent care by an excellent staff and her health was restored to its full potential. She raved about how well every staff member treated her. Thank you to all who cared for her! "

" Here from out of state for a family member in the surgery ICU on 3rd floor called The Commons. It is a pigsty in this waiting room. I called housekeeping last night to ask if it could be cleaned and was told that someone would be up.
As of this morning, it has still not been cleaned. I called back. It has been 5 hours and someone is cleaning the hall but has not popped her head in here. I thought our local hospital was dirty but this place is awful. Oh wait, here she is. "
