Emily Budd is a singer, actor, and teacher with over ten years of professional performing and teaching experience. She has entertained audiences in improv comedy, theatre, and opera. Emily is a Georgia native and has returned to the beautiful south after living and performing in NYC. Emily studied vocal and theatrical arts, earning a Bachelor of Music from Valdosta State University, and a Master of Music from Georgia State University. In New York, Emily performed with companies such as One World Symphony, Dell'Arte Opera, New York Lyric Opera, and Upright Citizens Brigade, as well as a cabaret series at The Duplex Theatre. Emily toured Italy performing with La Musica Lirica in concert and in the role of La Virtu in Monteverdi’s L’Incoronazione di Poppea. She also toured nationally with Capitol City Opera’s production of Cosi fan Tutte as Despina. Most recently Emily was seen back in Atlanta at ART Station Theatre as Cindy Lou in The Marvelous Wonderettes. Emily is a teaching artist inspiring children and adults alike and is the Education Coordinator at Serenbe Playhouse.
