" Horrible customer service! We made a reservation a few days prior to traveling from Austin Texas to Florida but wanted to make a stop at the national infantry museum. Well unfortunately with two children time of travel was extended greatly and we weren't going to make it to the hotel till 5am. Tried to cancel and they didn't try to help resolve or help our situation at all! We know it's the individual hotel that can make exceptions to policy. They weren't booked up so not like they were losing money while holding our room and turned down customers! We are staying at a different microtel! Melinda who picked up the phone was absolutely rude and told us we were being charged no matter what and that we have to deal with it because we aren't allowed to cancel or change reservation to a different location! Then has the nerve to tell me to have a wonderful night after keeping almost $100 for a room we won't be staying in. "

" The Microtel Inn was a great place to rest. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere was calming. Then the next day there was an actual breakfast to eat. If I ever have to spend the night in Columbus again it will be at the Microtel Inn. "

" great customer service!!! My boyfriend booked a room here for us to stay for his graduation. The two young ladies at the front desk were very helpful. The young lady with the long hair was amazing. Any and everything we asked for she got it done right then and there. We will definitely be visiting again soon! "

" We had to stay here during hurricane Irma, the staff was friendly and very accomendating. I gave 3 stars because the hotel is dated. I wished that I was able to tell Carmon and Lydia good bye, but they where off duty when we checked out and to them I give 5 stars. I want these to young ladies to know that the guest in room 103 truly appreciate them, they made sure that we where comfortable and had everything we needed. Even though the hotel could use a face lift with the rooms overall it was always clean which was a plus because of the many dogs that were also guest; and I am very OCD.
Breakfast was good, and plentiful. If I should every have to evacuate again they are on my list.

" Not a good experience overall.
Pool was not open at time of visit due to the roof being replaced...I was not informed of this fact until after registration paperwork was completed and the keys were in my hand. I made this registration in April...They should have called to let me know before I arrived.
Supposedly pet-friendly...but maid entered room (although do not disturb sign was on the door); manager stated they didn't know I had a dog. I reminded her that I paid a non-refundable pet fee upon my arrival.
Fitness room only had three pieces of equipment; the fitness room was 80 degrees and the thermostat was not adjustable.
Keys had to be reactivated daily--sometimes more than once in a day. Even after keeping it in my pocket with nothing else in it.
Stairwell was littered with the same few pieces of trash over the entire 4-day stay.
Coin-operated and one washer/one dryer to use (3rd floor & 1st floor). The dryer near my room appeared to be broken--buttons were totally missing, so I couldn't wash my clothes before going home.
Overall--not a positive experience. "

" I worked here for two weeks. And I must say most of the staff is sorry and half does their job... Linen never gets washed properly. And most of all the managers give u the grave yard shift so that u will have no life, while they enjoy theirs... And on top of that u don't even get a lunch break... I guess that's why they hire people so fast "
