" Rock climbing is an active form of meditation. And it works. Come see climbers climbing in peace! "

" We had an awful experience here today while trying to use a punch card to climb.

A little over a year ago, I bought a 10-punch card for $150. At $15/visit, that's pretty expensive, but it just barely beats the $17 (no gear) day passes. Since I knew I would use the punches eventually, it seemed like a no-brainer.

Today, we checked in and had our card scanned. "You're out of punches" the guy said. We were a little surprised, but we figured that we must have used them all and went to the desk to buy more. As I was purchasing 10 more punches, I noticed that the form I was filling out had a "Punch Card Expiration Date" that I was supposed to initial next to, which was BLANK. Seriously, it was BLANK. "What's this expiration date?" I ask. "Oh, the punches expire after a year."

Turns out that we had not used all of our original 10 punches- 4 of our punches had expired. That's a $60 value at LEAST. At one point, someone who looked like a manager asked how long ago they expired- it seemed like they were about to give us a break for the day. They had expired a month ago, and apparently that was not deemed recent enough to allow us to recover any value from the expired punches.

Honestly, the right thing to do by the staff would have been to give us passes for the day and then ask us to buy more punches for the future. We would have done that. But instead we were disgusted by the waste of money and the lack of help by the staff. We left and will not go back. Ironically, we were about to buy more punches, and it was just the policy which turned us away. What a petty way to lose paying customers.

The walls and routes here are excellent, so no complaints there. The gym is very crowded at peak times, which is annoying. "

" Stone Summit is an amazing place for kids! I took my 10 and 7 year old sons to try it. The only indoor rock climbing they ever did prior to this was a small wall on a cruise ship so I wasn't sure if Stone Summit required more experience. Not at all! The staff was amazing and patiently explained how to auto belay. The boys had a blast! They quickly got the hang of it and LOVED it! Stone Summit is a great deal too. For $17 a child for a day pass, my boys ended up climbing for 4.5 hours! They were exhausted afterwards which is what every mom hopes for! I wish we discovered Stone Summit years ago! We plan to go back many more times. The staff encouraged me to take the class to learn how to belay. I am going to do this in the future. If you are looking for a great indoor activity for kids, do not be intimidated by the size of Stone Summit. There are many opportunities for kids of all ages to enjoy climbing. "

" This was one of the best gyms I've visited! Friendly staff, great routes, and awesome environment.

The only reason I won't give 5 stars is because almost every rope we used needed replacement. Crusty, hard sheaths on climbing ropes is really difficult to belay with, so it would be nice to keep those top-rope setups fresh! "

" Imagine if Globo Gym was ran by children for children.

I try to not care about the negatives of this place but recently they changed my membership fees without notifying me. After finding out 4 months later I was a little irritated. I didn't get much besides an oh well response from management. If I had anywhere else convenient to go, I'd be done with this place.

It's probably awesome if you're on the youth team and can mob whatever area you want to take over or not really show any courtesy to anyone who is just a regular member. If you're a regular member, especially in the bouldering room, it's like being in an unsupervised daycare.

Staff has taken a huge dip down. Used to have climbers work there with real applicable knowledge, now not so much. I see ridiculous nonsense pretty much every time I'm there with no one saying anything.

If you want to climb a little and be into the social scene, you'll probably love it here. If you want to train, this place is just a necessary evil. "

" I started coming to Stone Summit back in January as something to do with my five year old son after school and to help him get energy out while working on his coordination, core strength, and planning skills. After a while he wasn't into it anymore, but I have continued on and I love it. I'm not very good, but it's a great full body workout and I leave feeling energized. Some days I'm on the ropes with a partner and some days I'm in the bouldering room. It can be a little intimidating as a newbie to watch the people who are really good, but I have found everyone to be so helpful. The staff as well as the other climbers. I have had more experienced climbers stop and help me figure out a route on more than one occasion. I usually go in the mornings, when there are far fewer people do that I don't have to vie for space. I do wish they'd open early on more mornings. I'd come more often. "
