" This is a crazy story. Please sit tight and fasten your seat belts. Today, I wanted to ship one package using USPS Priority service to Middle East. So I went to this place. One of staffs there said there was no receipt that she could provide me. If I do want one, I need to pay $1.30. I refused because I have mailed so many international packages before and never heard about the fee like this. Then I asked her name, because she didn't wear any name tag. She said her name is "Post Officer" ! What a joke ! Btw, she called me IDIOT ! Seriously ! This is way out of the line to treate your customer. Of course, I was very upset and tried to watch out my own words.

Then I went to 433 West Harrison, I think this is USPS regional headquarter. They took care of my package as normal and gave me the receipt. Meanwhile, I was also told by them to take a pic of this lady working at this location. (which, you, as a customer, should NOT do this in a Federal building, Post Office ! ) So I went back to this place, and tried to take a pic of this lady. Suddenly, she went crazy and yelled to me "Don't ever come back ! " Not a surprise, she called me an IDIOT second time.

Funny part was she hided herself behind the wall and she even called the 911, saying that I was threantening her. Well, again, this was not the truth, otherwise, I wouldn't be let go by the police.

Finally, I went back to 433 West Harrison, talked to poster master or some customer service person. Obviously, they had heard things like this before. But definitely not to the degree of craziness like this. They promised they would have area or regional manager get back to me with final result next Monday.

Well, I did spend a lot of efforts to correct something like this happening in our daily lives. I tried not just to complain and do nothing. And I do think we all should rise up by taking actions instead of just being upset.

(This is the longest and first complaint I wrote about USPS in Chicago. I hope someday USPS would get better. A lot of my friends asked me, "Do you think that USPS cares about those reviews ?". I replied, "They do care ONE DAY ! And we, as customers, should do more to help USPS be aware of their issues, than just writing a bad review")

UPDATE:

After weeks of efforts, post master helped setup a conversation between me and branch manager directly. But branch manager was obviously TOO busy to give me a update even she promised that she would gave me a update last Monday. But not a surprise, no call from branch manager. So I decided to go to district post office again today to find the update by myself.

Today, post master set up a phone call between me and branch manager. She notified me that the issue had been resolved as when I asked for more updates. But when I asked HOW, she refused to inform me anything about their internal decisions, which was OK with me. But how can I be assured that the issue has been 100% resolved without knowing anything from high level ? I requested for a official written apology from USPS. They said they would do so. I really don't know what else I can do to prevent this from happening again.
