" Friendly staff and quick service. Disappointed in the food, though. My potatoes were unevenly cooked, lukewarm, and almost half of them were inedible. My husband's bacon was overdone, the pancakes were dry and below average for basic restaurant pancakes. The coffee and my husband's French toast were really good, though. Not sure why this place gets such great reviews. Maybe it was just an off day or time. Glad I tried it, but I won't be going back. "

" Yolk has a wide variety of omelettes, French toast, pancakes, waffles, and everything else you can think of. Everything is delicious! Service is great, prices are reasonable, & the coffee is great. The strawberry orange juice is a must. Just be prepared to wait, because there is always a long line. "

" Ordered breakfast 30 minutes ago and still no food. Restaurant isn't busy so it should be here already. Coffee was horrible. Water for the table is warm. It tastes warm like summer rain water. "

" Spent a weekend in Chicago and ate breakfast here each morning. The service is quick and friendly, the food comes out at an unexpected speed considering how busy they were both mornings, and the taste was amazing. I ordered the red velvet french toast stuffed with cream cheese and topped with strawberries, my wife ordered the special which was a pumpkin french toast stuffed with cream cheese and topped with roasted cinnamon apple slices and cranberries. We liked them both so much the first time we ordered it again the next day. "
