The jazz studies program at Bethel College provides students with a variety of settings in which to study and perform jazz. Through participation in jazz combos, big bands, and private jazz improvisation lessons, students explore all aspects of jazz music. Bethel College's Jazz Ensemble I and Jazz Combo I have repeatedly received top ratings at festivals in Kansas and Colorado, and have been invited to perform at the Kansas Music Educators Association conference multiple times. In recent years, numerous alums of the Bethel College jazz program have gone on to be successful at both the graduate and professional level.
